[2007-10-18]: The latest international evaluation of Uppsala University – KoF2007 – assesses that the Linnaeus Centre for Bioinformatics is a very strong research unit. In terms of the impact of research publications (the field-normalized citation impact CPP/FCSm) and within the Area of Science and Technology the LCB is second only to the Department of Theoretical Physics. That department was home to the Nobel Prize Winner Kaj M. Siegbahn.
