Student Projects
The Linnaeus Centre for Bioinformatics offers students exciting interdisciplinary projects in bioinformatics. Students with excellent skills in biology, computer science or mathematics are encouraged to apply to do master's projects or summer jobs within a highly interdisciplinary research environment. Various projects are available in topics including those listed below.

  • Genetic modelling of gene-gene interactions
  • Estimation of genomewide genetic relationships based on marker information
  • Optimal usage of SNP markers in genetic studies
  • Efficient numerical methods in gene mapping
  • Efficient usage of high performance computing in gene mapping
  • Computer intensive statistical methods in genetic studies
  • Fixed and random effects genetic models for mapping of genes
